Vaccines:  Keeping your dog vaccinated helps to protect your dog form the risk of contracting possibly fatal and infectious diseases.  Rabies is a required vaccination.  Bordetella also known as kennel cough is required by most dog boarding, grooming and daycare facilities.

Deworming: Parasites that live in your dog’s intestines can cause diarrhea, vomiting and weight loss.  They also pose a health risk to humans specially children who are exposed to dog feces.  Routine fecal screenings should be a part of your dog’s general health regiment.

Fleas:  Fleas can live year around in Oregon.  Products sold over the counter are often not effective.  An itchy dog is an uncomfortable dog!  Frontline Plus™ monthly spot on treatment kills the adult fleas, flea eggs, and ticks on contact.

Heartworm:  Mosquitoes can transmit a parasite that lives in your dog’s heart.  Prevention is especially important in dogs that travel.  Iverhart Max™ monthly treatment prevents heartworms and kills hookworms, tapeworms and roundworms.
