Meet Our Staff

Our Veterinarian

Our genuinely caring Dr. Sid Bruckert-Frisk, DVM  graduated from Iowa State University of Science and Technology in 1987.  He has been providing excellent veterinary care to his community of loyal clientele here at Pacific Avenue Veterinary Clinic since 1998.  He is known simply as "Dr. Sid" to his staff, clients and the pets he cares for.  A quality that clients admire about Dr. Sid is his ability to always explain treatments and diagnosis in terms that clients can easily understand.  His friendly and inviting nature offer a comfortable relationship for clients to ask questions or seek advice.  His interest in animals does not just extend to only dogs and cats, he also cares for reptiles and exotics.  Dr. Sid stays involved in his community and is part of the TEAM Spirit program at local schools where he enjoys sharing his interest and love of the veterinary profession with aspiring students.  Dr. Sid is an outdoor enthusiast and environmentalist!  He loves taking his family hiking, camping, canoeing, rafting and his big love is biking. You will often see him biking to work. Sometimes even towing a bike trailer with his golden Jazzy inside it and his lab mix Tango jogging at his side.  Dr. Sid works extremely hard and everyone who meets him can see immediately his endlessly devotion to his family, church, work and community.

Our Receptionist & Office Manager

Jenny Morgan cares for both people and animals and enjoys working at our front desk where she can be around both.  She has been involved in animals all her life, both in work and in her personal life.  Previously she owned and operated her own professional mobile pet care business for over five years.  She also co-founded Oregon Pet Sitters Association, the first association to set professional industry standards for pet sitters.  She enjoys talking to people about their pets and helping them whenever she can.  Her warm friendly nature and enthusiasm will make you and your pets feel comfortable and welcome.  She has two cats and a Shetland Sheep dog.  Her daughters share her love of horses and she enjoys trail riding with her two teen daughters.

Our Vet Assistants

Kasey Davis, Moriah Peters, and Heather Richarte are our veterinary assistants.  Our staff monitor patient closely, assist the doctor with procedures and perform a myriad of other tasks.  Kasey loves animals and has been working with Dr. Sid for over seven years now.  Kasey shares her home with Chops a bearded dragon and Dixie her pointer mix.  Moriah enjoys riding her horse Cowboy and has ridden him in drill team for years.  Moriah also has a sweet brindle boxer name Rio.  Heather is our newest team member.  She is originally from Texas; some of our clients call her Tex!  Heather is a big softy when it comes to her pets, she grew up with lots of them and helped her grandmother hand raise birds.  Heather has a sweet beagle named Gecko, a ferret named Burkley and her horse Hennessy.  All of our staff love animals and spending time with them both inside and outside of work.

Our Pet Groomer

Our groomer is Charles Duncan.  All grooms include a bath, brush, nails trim and ear cleaning.  Please let Charles know how you want your pet's hair cut, as good communication is the key to getting the purrr-fect groom.  Pets are bathed with a Hydrosurge that gives them a gentle massage as we want the experience to be as pleasant for your pet as possible.  We realize that when pets that have a good experience, they do better the on their next visit.  Our hope is that pets will enjoy their grooming and be happier to return the next time.

Our Support Staff

Our support staff are very important to the smooth running of our clinic.  Of course a big part of their job is cleaning.  They disinfect treatment areas, exam rooms, lobby, surgery, grooming and boarding areas.  They also care for our boarding animals by feeding, walking, and spending time with pets two to three times daily.  They assist in the office by pulling and filing patient charts for the day.  They are here to support the clinic and staff and they do an excellent job.

Clinic Cat

Our clinic cat is Good for Nuthin', but we just call him Nuthin' for short. We adopted him after he was kicked out of his original home due to improper urination habits.  We have remedy that bad habit by keeping an impeccably clean litter box for him.  He loves the clinic staff's house keeping and the endless treats he steals or clients sneak to him.  He claims ownership of any empty or occupied chair, and roams the clinic freely.  Don't ask him to help you, he is very lazy and can't be put out; hence the name!  We love him though.
